| With the economy at it's worst for years, increasing Taxes on alcohol and supermarkets still being allowed to sell cheaper than your local, many of our publicans are finding it difficult to continue trading. Pub closures are at an all time high. We welcome news of any Pub in our area that's re-opening and we will do our best to publish that information here. |

| Pubs Re-opening in Burton |
|
As many of you will be aware a number of pubs in Burton have closed or being refurbished,
some of the closed pubs may never re-open and some may open again but have lost their character.
As for the refurbishments I hope they will be done in good style and sell a range of good beers.
We can only wait and see what happens. One thing is for sure if you don't support your local you
will loose it. So if a pub near you re-opens or has recently been refurbished I would urge you to
go and check it out and give them your support. If you have details of pubs re-opening or being
refurbished in your area please email us.

| The Roebuck |
|
After a period of being closed, The Roebuck, Station Street, Burton has re-opened.
Tom & Mel a welcoming young couple from Burton, are aspiring to build up The Roebucks'
popularity and restore this pub to it's rightful place in the community. With DBA as a regular
ale and weekly guest ales all served in top condition. Light snacks and accommodation are both
to be offered as soon as Tom & Mel have settled in, more news of this will follow shortly.
Opening from 12pm to 12am and less than two minuets walk from the train station.
The Roebuck is a lovely and unusual town pub with plenty of character, often overlooked
or just forgotten about, it's good to see it open again and it's well worth a visit.
